“ The place is great! The location is really scenic and the restaurant has heaters in the evening and allows dogs to sit out at the patio which is a huge plus for us. They even have a ramen for dogs! Carlos was a great server and the food and drinks were great! Will be back ”
“ This is the second time weve eaten here. The food was very tasty, with fresh ingredients good sized portions. The outdoor seating was beautiful at night, with warm heaters nearby lots of twinkle lights in the trees. This was a great spot for the toddler in our group too yummy food, attentive wait staff, coloring supplies. Our waiter Carlos was a delight! ”
“ nothing wrong with this place! service is really friendly despite other reviews. food is reasonably priced and a great value. only the shrimp tempura roll was underwhelming and a bit pricey. the small plates are where the restaurant shines gyoza, salad, veggies, karaage are all great. the ramen is the least exciting thing on this menu but its totally fine and the broth is delicious. cocktails were great and the house made beer was excellent. overall a good time and a great vibe. will come back again and bring a big group. ”
“ The food and atmosphere were amazing, and our server Carlos was super nice. Definitely recommend ”
“ Afuri is a robust unique Japanese spot! David was an excellent waiter, explaining ingredients, we appreciated that. The cashew dumplings were yum! The eggplant dish, get it! ”
“ I went last month and had an excellent experience. I was served by Harmony who was very friendly and attentive. We ordered the yuzu shio ramen, hotate carpaccio, and the soft shell crab bun which were all delicious. Ill definitely be coming back! ”
“ My new favorite local ramen spot! Second time here and my god, so delicious. AND kid friendly! Both times we brought our toddler and he loved the food off of their kids menu. Service has been great both times weve been here. Carlos was our server tonight, and was super friendly and provided solid recommendations. Love this place and cant wait to come back again and again. ”
“ The Torigara shoyu seems like a new item in their offering. At 14 it is one of the best value ramen around. It was light, yet so flavorful. The thin noodles works really well with it, it was firm , tasted fresh and it has such a good satisfying flavor to it that only crazy ramen aficionados like me can appreciate . It will be one of my regular orders from now on. One good change is they now offer extra noodles for 3. For the longest time they did not offer that option to my disappointment before . Thank you! The kaarage rice bowl to me was decent. Most will find it good. I just did not find that particular uber crunchy texture I was looking for in a kaarage. I will skip it from my order next time. Btw they do not close at 230pm anymore. I was rushing to chase the pm closing time. Thank god! As for parking, Culver is usually pretty hellish for parking. Fortunately, there is a 1hr free parking at the Trader Joes bldg nearby. Perfect to squeeze in grocery run after lunch. One more thing. I was not fan of their dumplings. But you cant go wrong with all their light yuzu ramen offerings! Only on Wednesdays they now offer a Wagyu ramen. The description says tonkotsu Wagyu ramen. First thought was it is going to be the thick rich tonkotsu broth. It is not the rich tonkotsu broth, it was still the same lighter yuzu broth you might have been familar with but with a stronger aroma of beef tallow on the surface. Topping it is a large slice of very tender wagyu beef. The price is 32. Overall it was an excellent choice. A small update. Extra noodles are now 4 instead of 3. ”
